Bak Kut Teh & Seafood!!!

There’s so much to thank God for these few days..

Some things have been getting me down recently and the “soular express” concert that church held on Saturday was soo helpful for me.
It was like God’s telling me to not worry and be strong =)

And then today’s wesak day, my church organized a trip to klang to eat bak kut teh!

at the bak kut teh shop in klang, the plan kinda backfired when the best shop was closed becoz of wesak but still this is better than nothing!

after that, we went to PELABUHAN KLANG to go to PULAU KETAM!!!!
to do what? EAT SEAFOOD!!!

on the ferry to pulau ketam, the sea breeze feels soo good after being in kl so long

had mian mian bing there! also had a great time with chew ling XD

had lots of fun and pulau ketam is the classical 鱼村! it was all in all a very fun and satisfying day.

my camera died on me after the last picture so what happened after that was:

our boat was leaving at 3.30, we reached the seafood shop at 2.40.
we had a seafood meal and rushed to the ferry,

everyone was sticky, hot, tired but HAPPY!

and tomorrow is my bio presentation on lupus and i’m going to ENJOY IT! XD

Watching “Priest” with Friends on a Friday

went to watch “Priest” with my friends today (actually YESTERDAY) and finally! we’ve been trying to watch a movie together for ages, now we finally get the chance and no one remembers to bring a camera! Argh!

we were going to watch last week, but seats sold out so we changed to the priest and watched today. My course mates actually went to pyramid in the morning to buy the tickets and had to run all d way back to make it for bio class. Luckily the guy presenting was late too lol

The Priest was HORRIBLE, bloody, cruel, and at the same time oddly intriguing.
i mean, some props were horribly fake but the storyline in itself is so cruel and scary, u can’t forget it that easily. And my friend said that its adapted from a japanese/korean comic. That’s why there were so many similarities with final fantasy (the priests’ outfits were practically the same as Organization XIII’s from Kingdom Hearts) .

Anyway, i finally finished my bio final presentation and most of my friends have already presented theirs. i gave my presentation to kabitaa and ana, and thank God they were there to help me edit it, cz it was too long

What else to say? oh yes, i feel better now, i mean i’m not so down now.

And i have saved more money this week, using just below 46 bucks from sunday until thursday. But today i spent more than 120! mostly because i got my lecturers teachers day gifts AND because i bought some really comfy and nice-looking pants for my mum ( for her birthday and mother’s day)

In case i get lazy to update this thing again,

saturday(today) is the 音乐布道会 and i’ll be going to church at 3 pm so that my pastor can go set up. And i’ll get to see ah nong again! yay!

On monday, culture club’s having a dinner. with steamboat and BBQ
Ana told me we’re doing the steamboat part so we’ll be going shopping for food on monday afternoon.

On Tuesday, we were going to go to chuan dao’s house to have 饺子大餐, but that got cancelled and instead we’ll be going to KLANG TO EAT BAK KUT TEH! yay!
We don’t know what we’re going to do after that, but should be fun also.

Bought a tie, card and pocky for Mr. Q.
Chocolates for Mr. Morgan & Mr. Anton for teacher’s day

On WEdnesday, i’ll be presenting my bio presentation to the class. Nervous. and still gotta complete the brochure.

Thursday don’t know what we’ll be doing.

Friday probably going to watch another movie again.. maybe fast and furious??

But i’m not going to play all the time, mind you.

Finals are coming so i’m going to start STUDYING AGAIN

April hath past and tis been several moonshines since I departed from home.
O, time, time, why doesn’t thou stay a little?
Happiness hath filled my days here
and yet anger and frustration hath not let me alone
Either way, mine heart is saddened that it is all coming towards the End.

ok.. i’ve just finished studying “KIng Lear” by Shakespeare and was in the mood.
These two weeks have been unusually busy and frustrating actually. Well, there were ups and downs.. but i’m both glad its over and sad that the semester is ending..

But what have i been busy with?

1. 2 bonus interesting finds on blackboard (biology)
2. 1 poster about savanna biome (bio)
3. the inconvenient truth assignment (you guessed it, bio again)
4. functions test (well, that’s kinda normal)
5. King lear pop quiz (i didn’t cheat and got 20/20 yay! just goes to show you don’t need to cheat to do well)
6. bio unit 4 (homeostasis) test
7. BOTH ISUs for the kite runner done
8. bio final presentation (still doing)
9. looking for hostel in lagoon view (failed)

And there are only 9 days left of class, then the finals, then I’M GOING TO PENANG!!! then SUNWAY LAGOON! then back home to Miri.. finally

At one point in the past weeks, i got pretty down and frustrated. because of a lot of things actually..
Partly because i got called a freaking NERD for doing homework..
ok, now i’ve pretty much forgiven/decided not to take to heart the buggers who called me that.. but seriously, i am not a nerd!
A nerd wouldn’t go for movies, have fun and laugh more than study.
Just because i want to do well and actually succeed in life, doesn’t mean i’m a nerd. so what if i wear glasses? i’m born with it, you jerks.
so what if i do homework? it takes up 70% of marks.
it makes me angry just to talk about it, yeesh…

but then again, that’s also how you can tell how much a person knows you, isn’t it?
a close friend wouldn’t say hurtful things like that, a best friend wouldn’t even think it.

well, enough of that, i’ve also been thinking a lot about the old memories in high school.. Can’t go back to it now.. but still miss everyone that was in it.

Now on to the happy things:

besides going to Penang after the exams, CIMP TALENT NIGHT also just passed and it was totally AWESOME!!!!!

i mean, the LECTURERS actually formed a band and performed. and honestly, they were pretty dang good. My biology teacher was actually the drummer and man, he was good! that’s them at the back..

some acts were also pretty good, and there was an indonesian girl that could sing like CHARICE!

and another thing,

facebook just took a backseat xD

Easter weekend

its Easter again!

sang in the church choir on Friday and made a plan to be a better christian this year.. but i don’t know how effective it is so far..

崇拜过后，道儿带我们去118 food court 吃宵夜！

It was too dark to take pictures with my cell, and i didn’t bring a camera, so no pictures… but there were about 50++ stalls there, it was totally awesome!!

we ordered 豆腐花+汤圆，stingray with sambal and fried oysters! the 汤圆came in 4 flavours: 豆沙，莲子，花生 & 巧克力... it was the nicest tang yuans i ever had from a shop.. i mean the chocolate like FLOWS out like LAVA when you bite into it.. its sooo gooooodd.... xD And the stingray tasted awesome with sambal, we destroyed the stingray on the plate within 5 minutes i think..

And today, since we couldn’t go yesterday, i went for a movie with my friends.. to watch : RED RIDING HOOD

really good movie. i’m not kidding.

Sure, it feels a bit like Twilight but the story juz keeps you in suspense and Peter is soo much better-looking than Robert Pattinson (yuck). the storyline too is really good i think. definitely must see this.

after movie, went grocery shopping and after that was SUPER DUPER HEAVY THUNDERSTORM. i had to chase a bus to go home and in the end i ended up eating its dust, literally people..

the storm was so horrible half my room got soaked and a tree fell down in my apartment. i could barely open my eyes when i got back cz the freaking wind was so strong..

i think the weather here in KL is on a schedule though:

burning hot in the morning and noon, crazy thunderstorm after 4pm..right before the time the laundry is normally taken in after drying.. T.T

Well, tomorrow's easter and i better go prepare for the choir singing tomorrow cz i juz realized i’m gonna miss the practice tonight.. haih.

Catching up time

Okay, to recap on what i’ve been doing these past two weeks… hmmm..

1. Went to KL Central for a day with yu kheng, yiik en & valerie..That was fun!

2. Watched “Rio” with Yiik en and lucas

3. Debated over whether i should go for prom…. result was : NO

4. Learnt that Miri election was very exciting this year!

5. Discovered TUMBLR!!! love it soo much…

6. learnt that my friends are coming over for WMBC… should i go??

7. started on Shakespeare’s King Lear… man..

8. went for SPCA community service.. which turned out that i had to WASH AND PLAY WITH DOGS!!!! aaaahhhh… but luckily it was cancelled and because me and my friends are so damn impulsive, instead of going home, we took a bus to subang parade. and spent 3 HOURS GOING TO 3 MALLS!! now that was super fun! xD

9. finished functions and bio tests. midterm report sent to home.

10. DISSECTED A COW’S EYE!

11. bought “wimpy kid” for little brother at Popular’s book sale

12. have to start doing bio final presentation

13. am going to sing in church choir for Good Friday and Easter.

14. miss friends, family and home food more than usual.  T.T

15. met a Miri friend in Jusco today: Xin Ying! yay!

16. “Friday” video and Alexandra Wallace’s racist video came out, so that gave me something to get annoyed about.. and “Friday” is the MOST RETARDED and HORRIBLE song i’ve ever heard, but its friggin’ catchy! haih..

17. hav to rush my ISU(english independent novel analysis) for next Monday! man…

18. am going ice skating this Saturday.

Friday:

Finished OSSLT, which is the test i need to pass to graduate .

Watched movie with kabitaa in the LIBRARY, we watched “3 idiots” and laughed like idiots too

Night time we went to pyramid to shop for grocery and we were supposed to go into Kitschen to dress up and take photos, but er.. that kinda failed cz we went in too late..

AND since it was april fool’s, got pranked a few times too.

Saturday:

Went to Bukit Bintang with Yiik En, Yu Kheng n Val.

we went by bus and monorail so new experience again

At KL Central, we went to Pavillion, oh my goodness, i love that place…

it is the nicest shopping mall ever! and the food court there will drive your stomach mad!! its too awesome!

Yu Kheng was like a pro tour guide too

After pavillion, we went to Sungei Wang ( got a top there, cheap one) den went to Loh Yat Plaza to buy some earphones (not me buying)

had some drinks at the asam laksa stall nearby and took a taxi back to sunway

The taxi driver took a wrong turn so i almost din make it back in time for fellowship.

i actually never made it back to my room, juz reached sun-u residence then straight on the van. o.O

So i didn’t sleep over at church this week, had to go home to bath…

Sunday:

Went to church, had the shen chan today and the worship part was really enjoyable today

Had lunch there and went back home. Uploaded photos and everything.

Another thing that made this weekend awesome was knowing that jia yii is coming over soon! 2 best friends joining me here soon, can’t get anymore awesome than that! xD

好辛苦才到了教会! 这时真的很珍惜传导之前载我们去教堂，adeline 也是第一次来教会所以今天给我们是很充实的一天！XD

练了诗班，姐妹会就开始了！

弟兄们真的很用心的为我们准备了活动，有晚餐，游戏，献唱。。。。

还是上个星期就开始熬夜练习，辛苦他们了。=）

今晚玩的游戏快让我笑翻了，自重spm成绩出过后都没有笑这么多，好开心。。 感谢主

Yesterday was kinda bad. but i still laughed a lot i guess, and to anyone reading this: yes i am upset i didn’t get straight As, but it’s not the end of the world for me ok? so stop pitying me and for those who did get it, i’m very happy for all of you, yes i am, but please don’t RUB IT IN…. its annoying

in no mood to write long so:

Woke up, got told by someone that i got straight As

went to school happy

Bio teacher freaked us out about today’s test

after bio got told i got a B

expected it was chinese

but during lunch mum told me i got 2 Bs

shocked. wow.

Ana & Kabitaa kept my mind off it and had a nice lunch

After lunch my friend gt her result n i got mine

she’s happy she got 2a, i’m sad i gt 9a,

makes me think

found out one of my classmate is actually 20

got message from lemuel asking about results

got messages from him saying he got the exact same result for his spm and that it was ok

felt better

went home and checked out fb new feed

congratulated a friend for getting straight As,

got a message from that friend saying:  i wonder wad happen to u? (jerk)

logged out of facebook

tried not to cry

cried anyway

skyped with mum

went for dinner

dinner too spicy

went home and applied for JPA

studied bio

had a call from jia yii

felt better again

couldn’t finish studying

got a slice of bday cake anyway

felt guilty about the whole thing

Old Friends

Today was overall a good day.

i got my math test back, 88% not bad. And i went with yiik en to pyramid.

Poor guy, he just got here 2 days ago and i know how he feels right now so to prevent him from walking around with nothing to do in pyramid alone, i went with him… to walk around pyramid with nothing to do (but at least its better than doing it alone, right?)

And i did have to get something, my umbrella broke today and i had to get a new one anyway. i got it from F.O.S. and then yu kheng joined us too.

we went to eat at asian avenue and caught up with each other, that was nice. to just sit with old friends and chat about things. It really felt good and i was glad i went.

After eating, gossiping and walking back from the mall, i got in touch with the other ch students who just got here and i’ll be going to pyramid again to i dunno, show them around?

hopefully i’ll get to meet up with yiik en and yu kheng again soon and then we could go by bus to bukit bintang or something. XD

This saturday will also be the first time i’m going to church by PUBLIC TRANSPORT. my friend’s coming down to show me how to do it and hopefully i’ll remember how to get there. Things sure are getting interesting now that more mirians are coming here

And SPM is coming out tomorrow so needless to say, i’m FREAKING OUT.

its SPM, i worked so hard for it, i didn’t sleep for it, i gained weight because of it, i wanted to die because of the Sijil Pergi Mati.. haih

but oh well, its in God’s hands, so good luck everyone and all the best. =)

This weekend~

This weekend was an eventful one.

Went to Children’s Home to fill up my community service hours on Saturday.

I woke up late, forgot to bring my umbrella, and my COMMUNITY SERVICE FORM.

i need the form to show that i did the community service. and guess what?

on Friday, i borrowed my math notes to an Iranian guy in my class n my 2 forms were in it!! so in the end, i had to go to the computer lab, go online and print out another copy of the form.. =(

Anyway everything else went smoothly, we didn’t go to the original children’s home we planned, instead, we went to Orion’s Children Home. This trip was all for CIMP ppl and Mr. De-Villiers (he’s really hot) was in charge so he went too.

We played nursery rhymes, musical chairs, balloon stomp and charades with the kids there. They were all so sweet and cute. And they all got their brothers and sisters with them. Each one of them has like at least 2 siblings, it was sooo sad to see them there cz most of them are like under 10 and from Perak, Perlis, Johor…

But the kids had fun. I even played on the piano for them and i took this little boy’s fingers to teach him to play “twinkle twinkle little star” and the kids that saw me play were soo excited they took out a piano book for me n wanted me to play a piece. I played 2 songs, one of them was “Santa Lucia” and then everyone there clapped.. awwww….

But today after going to church ( i didn’t sleep over there this week), i went to taylors lakeside campus with my friend. And it looks awesome.

Seriously, why do ppl call it a college when it looks so much like a resort thing?

They’ve got every building interior designed. I mean, even the friggin’ chairs inside the library is classy! wow..

i went into the rooms too and its really nice, except its a bit too small i think, its actually about the size of my bathroom i think but once again, its beautifully designed, like some kind of mini hotel room.

And their kitchen is sooooo nice, i am damn jealous right now. They’ve even got these really nice cupboards and my cupboard is…. well.. door-less, mouldy, stinky.. basically its crap.

i also had some tea there: some kaya toast cz every else was too expensive.( RM4.50 for 3 tiny pieces of pancake?? what the?) anyway someone was playing with a toy boat on the lake too. cool

And juz for the record, Taylor’s lakeside is not THAT big. no offense. Its modern and pretty and everything, but i still think that sunway is more established
